In 2018, my world got turned upside down with a painful and unexpected separation. In a moment, my plans, dreams, and sense of self were shattered. I was pushed to a breaking point and had no guidance on what to do.

Until this point I had spent most of my life stuck in my head, overthinking, and crippled by my fears and insecurities in a desperate pursuit of feeling good enough. I had been avoiding my problems, numbing my pains, and ignoring what needed to be addressed.

This time though, I knew something had to change -- I knew continuing this would continue to make me miserable and that I needed to find a new way of handling my mind and my emotions.

Whether it was accident or serendipity, it was in deep pain that I had a breakthrough and realized two important insights that changed my entire life:

1. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
2. You can turn negative emotions can be turned into positive ones with the right process.

Through a lot of trial and error, mentorship, and education, it all began to click. I finally learned how to turn my inner negativity into positivity. I learned I could create happiness, confidence, and peace from the inside out, consistently, just following a step-by-step process.

Better yet, I taught this process to clients with the same results and they told me it felt like they finally had a real tool that could be used in day-to-day life to manage the challenges life throws at them.

After falling in love with this work, I decided it was time to become a Psychotherapist. As a Psychotherapist, I continue to build on years of work in this space and take a very action- and solution-oriented approach. I believe in finding root causes and simple solutions to address them head on, integrating Western science with Eastern philosophy and employing modalities like Narrative Therapy, CBT, ACT, and MBCT. I specialize in anxiety, negative/overthinking, and self-esteem to help my clients create calm, happy, and confident minds.
