DMS Counselling Services offers a non-judgmental and safe space where your metal health is the only concern. Everyone experiences life circumstances differently and as a result, everyone should feel supported in ways that meet their individual needs. This is Danielle’s role as a Clinical Therapist; to support you on your wellness journey and through your own self-exploration. Danielle specializes in treating adults 18+, with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, difficult life transitions, COVID-related stress, trauma, and grief.
Danielle is a registered Clinical Therapist with a master’s degree in social work. Through various positions in the social service and mental health industry, Danielle has received certification as a Clinical Cognitive Behavioural Specialist and has learned to operate from a client-focused and anti-oppressive lens. She is excited to be continuing to learn about and train in Trauma-informed Therapy. Danielle has worked in children’s mental health for the past 12 years and continues to support that demographic at a local children’s mental health organization. Additionally, in her past work, Danielle gained valued experience supporting people living with developmental disabilities such as autism.
Danielle’s goal is to empower her clients in making their own choices in life and help them search for strategies and strengths that foster the resilience needed to take on any life challenges. In order to accommodate her client’s needs, Danielle offers her services in both in-person and online.
