Osteopathy

Osteopathy looks at the way your body functions as one, all of its internal systems and parts working together to create one whole body. Like a machine, if one gear stops turning, the rest can, too. While we aren't machines, when one part of us feels amiss, it can often affect the rest of our lives or bodies.

Osteopaths aim to help improve overall health across all body systems by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework. They focus on the joints, muscles, and spine, and use their hands to treat the body. Techniques are individual and client-focused, varying from client-to-client. Some of these methods include:

  • Massaging

  • Stretching stiff joints

  • Articulation

  • High-velocity thrusts (typically short, sharp movements to the spine)
